October Highlights...
The students read an array of Caldecott Medal Winning Books and voted for their favorite Caldecott Medal Books.
The student's Choice award winners are:
Kindergarten- Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems
1st Grade- Joseph Had a Little Overcoat by Simms Taback
2nd grade- Anansi the Spider by Gerald McDermott
3rd Grade- Lon Po Po by Ed Young
4th Grade- Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
5th Grade-Peppe the Lamplighter by Elisa Bartone

September News...
Welcome Back to School! In September students learn that the library is a place to read books and find information about many things (research). We go over library rules, circulation policy, and appropriate library behavior at each grade level.
We also begin an amazing event and learning experience called, "The Kramer Lane Elementary School Caldecott Medal Student's Choice Award". Students read an array of Caldecott Medal Books and choose their favorite book at each grade level. The library lessons will focus on grade level skills as students learn about Caldecott Books!
